Cheers To 3 Years!

“We’ll look back some day at this moment that we’re in, and I’ll look at you and say and I thought I loved you then” – Brad Paisley: ‘Then’

Yesterday Jamie and I celebrated our 3 years! It’s funny, we go way overboard for Christmas and birthdays, but for anniversaries we have never done anything crazy special. We keep it pretty low-key, no presents, nothing over the top, just dinner.

We went to a place called “Olde Stone”, its actually attached to Hot Belly Mama’s where I go with Shannon. It wasn’t until we ordered that I told Jamie the only reason we did not go there was because it is our place and I promised her that he would keep it sacred. He took to twitter to express the humor yet confusion which he had.

UntitledIt was a beautiful day out which allowed us to sit on the patio – which is great for me as it allowed me to people watch. Usually Jamie takes the good seat as he does not really like it when I stare at people, yet to my surprise I was able to have a street view. Unfortunately, there was not too many crazies to look at.

Olde Stone has their own brewery in the basement which Jamie took full advantage of when he ordered his beer, where I on the other hand had a Pina Colada. It’s an odd choice for me and I really have to be in the mood for coconut – not the biggest fan. Dinner shocked me also with what he ordered. We go out for dinner ever friday, and I think I can count on one hand the number of times he did not choose a burger when it was an option. This was definitely one of those times – he had pizza which looked (and tasted) amazing. I decided on Curry Chicken which was fantastic, until about an hour later when Jamie informed me I had spinach stuck in my teeth.

Lastly, what is anything with out pictures in the truck? I guess it’s out thing..

  1. Mike and I don’t celebrate anniversaries.. we don’t have a “this is the day we started dating” because it was more of a gradual thing. We did just hit the 2-year mark for living together, though! We didn’t plan anything specifically for that, but we’re going to a concert tonight, so I guess we’ll look at that as our celebration.
