Falling Into Autumn

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”  – Lauren DeStefano

Fall has to be my favourite season. There is nothing I love more than fuzzy socks, leg warmers, big sweaters, blankets and a hot drink. I am so happy that fall is officially here – in my mind at least. I don’t understand how the calendar date is still weeks away. Fall for me starts on the first day of school!

School started on September 3rd this year. I was pretty down for the most part. This was the first time in 16 years where I did not participate as it is all over. I don’t know what I miss the most about starting school every year, but I know I was definitely the most upset over not having to go to Staples and getting all my favourite pens, highlighters, thick paper, and notebooks. I am such a nerd. I sound ridiculous.

To over compensate missing school, I have moved my attention to fall. I have been wearing nothing but scarves, long sleeves, jeans, socks and running shoes. I have also been Jonesing for pumpkins and spice goodies. Luckily for my my mom is quite the pumpkin flavored addict (not as bad as her hand vacuum) and needed little convincing to start with fall baking. We have decided to bake something which involved pumpkin every Sunday for 7-8 weeks. Ambitious? Definitely.

Happy Fall everyone!!!!

    • I love spring as it means snow is FINALLY gone. Its getting pretty chilly up in Canada already. It was a high of 16 (63f) today and its supposed to be 6 (43f) over night. Its my favourite weather right now, still warm but cool enough for a nice sweater

  1. I am angry. It is 104° right now. I keep having to cancel football/soccer practice so my little guys don’t croak on the field. Roll on fog and cold mornings and hot baths and coffee with Bailey’s. Send me pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and the smell of roasting chicken and potatoes. Mother Nature, take this heat wave and send to back to where it came from: Hell. I have never wanted to visit Australia until just this week.

  2. Hey girl 🙂

    Thanks for the follow! 🙂
I LOVE fall. Its my favourite season b/c of all the pumpkin treats that I get to eat and also there is a satisfying crunch when you step on leaves. That’s unfortunate that you are not going to school anymore but hey, everyone has their reasons not to go. Good luck on the baking – pumpkin spice muffins are totally wonderful with a bit of cream cheese frosting 😉
